Download the Daily Routine Checklist with Morning Routine, Afternoon Routine, and Evening Routine If our default morning routine is to wake up, complete an exercise routine, eat a healthy breakfast, read a chapter of a motivational book, and give ourselves plenty of time to get ready for the day, we will likely feel better– both that day and over time– than if we wake up at the last minute and rush out the door, skipping breakfast and feeling frazzled. This can lead to more time to relax, lower stress levels, and a decrease in anxiety. Routines create structure and streamline our decision making. Once we have a solid routine established, we typically don’t have to do any extra thinking about it or planning for it– it just happens.
